As subcontractor to Peraton, the team has secured Cloud Hosting Solutions (CHS) III contract for the the United States Geological Survey (USGS), under the Department of the Interior (DOI). Xentity is a key subcontractor on the CHS III leadership team and is proud to continue its over 20 year support of USGS efficiency, transformation, and innovative tasks to improve automation, reliability, and increase thruput to support the unbiased science through quality and accessible data at USGS. The CHS III contract has a five-year base term and three two-year option periods to provide secure, optimized cloud enterprise solutions tailored to the department’s specific mission needs using technology rationalization, a customizable enterprise portal, and proven cloud enterprise management.
The USGS CHS program provides cloud hosting services available through a virtual data center hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) under the CHS III contract to USGS. In addition to the virtually unlimited storage and compute capabilities of the Cloud, CHS is developing a cloud-based ecosystem of services including high-performance computing, data visualization, sensor processing, artificial intelligence/machine learning, analytics, data storage, and more. Xentity will support efforts to modernize cloud implementations, migrate non-cloud solutions to the cloud, and support the transformation and development of data aggregation, data platform, analytics, AI, data processing, visualizations, data applications, and AI capabilities.
